WILLEMETTE VILLAGE NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION

MONTHLY MEETING MINUTES

 

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 11, 2000

6:30 P.M.

 

Karla brought meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.

 

Officer Matthews gave crime report and discussed neighborhood events.

 

Karla gave a personal overview of herself and her history in the neighborhood.  She introduced the officers and motioned for Robin and Doris to switch offices.  Jim seconded the motion and it was passed.

 

Discussion ensued regarding flyers and signage for notification of meetings, the name of the association, and a permanent date and time for the monthly meeting. 

 

Greg motioned a choice between Keck Avenue and Willemette Village Neighborhood Associations.  Randy seconded the motion and discussion ensued.  A vote was taken and the results are as follows:

Keck Avenue                        14

Willemette Village                15

 

Greg offered to take care of the by-laws, Chris will coordinate the block captains, and Pat is going to head the refreshment committee.

 

Karla will investigate a permanent date for the meetings with the pastor.

 

The pastor invited the group to a church gathering to be held on 10/28/00.

 

Chris suggested having a rummage sale as a fund-raiser for the association.

The next meeting will be held on 10/09/00 at 6:30 p.m. and the following issues will be discussed:

          Date/Time

          Signs

          By-laws

          Public Safety

          Registration

          Dues

 

Karla adjourned the meeting at 7:44 p.m.
