MONTHLY MEETING MINUTES

 

THURSDAY, APRIL 12, 2001

6:30 P.M.

 

Karla brought meeting to order at 6:35 p.m.

 

Robin read minutes and Chris gave treasury report.

          Treasury balance:    $233.25

 

A checking account was opened at Sterling Federal Credit Union.

 

Randy gave crime report:

·        Arrests

·        Vandalism

·        Domestic Issues

·        1800 Block Hercules – Disturbance/Resisting

·        1600 Block Hercules – Narcotics

·        Harding – Theft

·        Theft – Keck

·        Morgan – Theft/Narcotics

·        Weinbach – Warrant

·        Weinbach – Bad Narcotics

 

Thanks to all who helped with the neighborhood watch signs.  Someone called the police on Harlon and Doris – thought they were stealing stop signs.

 

Thanks to all who helped with passing out the flyers.

 

City of Evansville Grant will cover the neighborhood watch signs, meeting notification signs, and various other things.  ($700.00 - $500.00)

 

 

 

Karla proposed the following:

          25 signs (Yellow w/black lettering on both sides) - $175.00

Robin motioned and it was passed.

 

Peggy and Pat went to the United Neighborhoods Meeting.

          April 19th is Heavy Trash Pick-Up Day

Peggy asked for volunteers to help pull trash and large items out to the street near the Tot Lot on Wednesday, April 18th.

 

Mapping program to deal with landlords was discussed.  Karla sent letter.

 

June 2nd – Operation City Beautiful (Tot Lot)

 

Downtown Master Plan flyers were passed out.

 

·        Speaker – Vicki Kavanaugh from Animal Control

 

·        Animal Control operates 365 days a year and is available from 7:30 a.m. until 12:30 a.m.

 

·        Animal Complaints:

1st Time – Warning

2nd Time – Officer’s Discretion

3rd Time – Ticket

 

·        City Requirements:

Rabies Vaccination

Dog License

 

Karla adjourned the meeting at 7:45 p.m.
